My Calendar Is Full

You look at your schedule and see a full day of meetings, emails, errands, and responsibilities. But inside, you feel… nothing.

Not urgency. Not panic. Just a kind of blankness.

This is a lesser-known flavor of burnout. It’s not always dramatic or loud. Sometimes it looks like flatness, forgetfulness, disconnection. Your body might be showing up, but your spirit isn’t.

This is your nervous system signaling that it needs space…because it’s in freeze mode. Not more commitments. Not more structure. Space.

Here are three ways to create more breathing room inside an already packed life:

  1. Bookend your day with presence. Even five minutes in the morning and night to check in with your body can anchor you.

  2. Create ‘soft landings’ between tasks. Add 10-minute buffers between meetings to shake out, hydrate, or lie down.

  3. Let go of perfection. Done is better than perfect. Or sometimes, paused is better than perfect.

Jayci and I created the Recharge Room series as a space to reconnect to yourself in the middle of all the noise.

Our next session is called TIME TO BREATHE—and it’s an invitation to reclaim space, time, and presence.
